It's a shitty idea, even if by some miracle you beat the 1 / 1000,000 odds of making it to pg you will soon find that having your hobby as job is only fun for awhile

Yeah bro, you are too old, with kids... You should just stay a fan, you still can be passionate, but trust me you should spend time with your kids as much as you can, you'd regret it later.

Should have decided before having kids.

Not sure if troll though.

Crank up dem AI games, or just aim for masters and be competent.

I actually find this game more frustrating to take casual and only play sporadically lol ><

I've always heard that the older you get the slower you become, my game speed is still really fast... very decisive as well... just the decisions I make aren't great due to lack of overall game knowledge.

I hover around 220 apm... still have the same speed I had back in BW..

Jsp isn't exactly the best spot to look for encouragement comical... that said I wouldn't quit your job over a computer game. From what I've gathered through talking with minigun having a 9-5 is much better/safer than trying to wrestle the progamer lifestyle. You don't can't really catch a break since you always have to be ahead of the curve. Just play more and use your time more wisely, start registering for more tournaments and train with better players. Plan your diet and excersize around your game and know your peak performance times during the days/weeks that way you know when to play and when to train. If you can do this and beat progamers consistently then maybe you'll have a shot. If not don't bother taking the risk because it's not worth it.

If this is something you truly want to do in your life, go for it, make the time for the practise, get serious about it, invest time, force yourself to play 40 full games a day like Flash does, do it for 6 months, by then your should start to see if you could make it or not.
It's atleast better to have tryed, than to go old regretting not trying to do something more in life. Something your truly wish for, not just have to.

Thats my take on it. You are never to old, train your body, eat perfect and your body will be in prime for gaming for a long time.

You should look at WoodysGamertag a popular CoD youtuber and try to replicate his succes; Woody wanted to quit his job as a developer for Cisco and go full time youtube while having a wife and 2 kids to sustain. The big thing i would recommend is what every sc2 pro will tell you " don't quit your day job" because even with minimal free time if you put every second of that into improving as a player ( =/= mass games) you should be able to achieve results. So maybe set yourself a goal...and make it a hard one (mby top 64 or 32 in a WCS qualifier) and dont even think about going pro until you obtain that because if you dont have the dedication to spend all your free time on improving you sure as hell wont do it for 8+ hours 6 days a week.Good luck with watever you decide to do.
