on another note...poorly micro'd ultras will indeed die to a low quantity of marauders. you should know when you can get 'em or if they can sit between buildings and range you all day. melee units need to have a penalty - and that's it! shouldnt have committed them if you knew you couldn't hit the rauders (didnt watch rep, so no idea).

Yeah you shouldn't be talking about a replay you didn't watch. So many pointless comments in this thread that have nothing to do with the game the OP played.

i dont need to watch a replay to understand the logic behind losing 8 ultras to 4 marauders in a terran base - i have SEEN IT. people just let the ultras derp around attacking reactors/rax while getting shot in the face by marauders for free. it's incredibly common, and i'm saying that's poor micro (which it is). the logical solution would be to pull them back once you've assessed that you cannot get directly to the marauders - heal them with queens - and use them later. they are expensive, like coloss, and have to be preserved by the player.

SIMPLE AS THAT. and @ Lick, conc shells dont do anything to ultras
