Ok, I'm going to break it down here.
When an account is boosted into master league, his 1v1 MMR is now officially good enough to wear the blue star.
Now, the booster kid doesn't want to lose his Master league icon right? Right. So, the booster kid plays 2v2's, and 3v3's, and 4v4's. and Arcade like normal.
Booster kid probably doesn't care about his 1v1's because he never plays it, but now he gets to have his highest league say master and wear the star.
Every reset, he just plays one 1v1 game and gets placed back into masters for 1v1.
The team pools will never get fucked up because they will not be affected.
So unless booster kid decides to mass ranked 1v1 games, he will stay in Master league for 1v1's for a long time.
