Defending a natural steal if they arent pooling should be an easy win I guess if I pull off workers and go heavy bio (havnt tried it yet, except once, I kept going factory)


i haven't seen a pool first in so long but that does sound pretty gay lol, either way if they go pool then hatch at your nat you don't have to get your nat as quickly because what they're doing is pretty all in

edit - the only times i've seen a hatch at my nat has been double hatch before pool (reaction to cc first)

Yep that's why I had a harder time getting the hatch killed because I was contained inside my base by lings and they could get spines in time

I'll have to actually scout now before my cc is done (usually scout with same scv as my worker making the 2nd cc lol) so I can get 2nd/3rd rax as fast as possible

Im try this next time, sounds good

e/ I do get 10 pooled alot..seems alot of people are trying the catz build for some ez free wins
e#2 actually not alot, but like maybe once every 13 games lol

Or use the second cc to help wall off pressure, should be pretty easy to keep it alive if you can repair it constantly. I honestly don't know, I'm not a terran player. Just trying to throw out some suggestions.

Don't go greedy on 2 player maps, on 4 player you can freely cc first lol, if you can't hold properly, then don't be greedy.

faced this yesterday and it felt broken as fk
bunker'd his hatch and he still killed it since he opened pool first and had a ton of lings...
scouted his natural shortly after and it was fully saturated and i couldnt expand anywhere cuz of creep + ling sitting at my 3rd (on akilon)
then i kill his proxy hatch but im so far behind already, he has his 3rd + mutas on the way
with my 3 ccs sitting in my main and not able to do shit, just f10 n'd

will try 2 bunkers next time...

Have you tried responding with a drop (if you have the factory)? If they're concentrating all their defenses right outside your door, that means they're weak at home. Roast his drones.

float your command center somewhere else and drop mules if its not scouted and go bio tank for awhile

going early pool and like that and building his hatchery on the wrong side of the map hurts his economy a lot worse than it hurts yours

1 base CC first into hellion drops?
They are not weak at home by any means

if I recall, catz tried to do this vs a korean terran, and the terran made a bunker on the lowground before the creep/lings could block it. Then you have a bunker in range of the hatch and just need to keep it repaired while you get out hellions and increase your SCV count. (Terran ended up winning with an advantageous mid-game situation)

When you kill the hatchery the zerg will have taken a late natural expand, and should be fairly light on drones still and not have lair tech complete, so you're free to apply pressure for a short while to keep him from overdroning




If you CC on the lowground you'll lose to pool first, but won't get hatch blocked :D
