I agree with this completely. MMMM makes more sense to improve at, but mech is still strong

Mech is amazing, but it's really hard to play, plus in addition to that there are many things that you have to watch out for with mech, such as muta transitions and broodlord rushes, whereas with MMMM most games are very similar in terms of TvZ because of the linear playstyle and transitions that you have to make. With mech you have to branch out your knowledge and build to compensate for transitions that come out of the Zerg because mech is very vulnerable in that sense.

Yeah. Basically, mech is reactional (you have all the counters at your fingertips, you just have to make enough of them in time to counter his shit) and marine/mine is aggressive (like playing Protoss, you build your units, look at him, and say "beat me", and if he can't you win).

The big thing about mech is scouting (which isn't too bad, since you don't need excessive muleing--limited by gas) and then understanding what you see and how to beat it.

I'd also like to point out that I mostly still mech on ladder, but i know it's shit, and only reason i can win with it is because i match fucking shitty zergs.

People use it in TvP for the same reason, I don't see why it couldn't work in tvz

I read your posts, I responded. Your anecdotal failures do not mean that it applies to everyone. Plenty of people have success with mech, biomine is just more prevalent because it's easier to win with currently.

You said you can split your siege tanks, but the first thing i said, that way they don't have enough dps to deal with the locust -> they are slowly breaking through, what can't you understand? The point is, that if the zerg player plays propely, mech is going to lose, but luckily most zergs just don't.
