You should only talk about balance issues if you're able to get it to at least top 10% 1v1 Master League of your region. The game is unbalanced in mutliplayer league and it is not blizzards goal to balance it for multiplayer.
If you're below that you should spend time tweaking your strats.

If you're having trouble dealing with some Match-ups, you should:

1) Analyse and study your games even if you win, and find the gaps you left open and find the proper answer to those.
2) Find a player that is stronger or equal than you and train that match-up over and over.
3) Have 2-3 strats for each match-up and only use those until you completely master them blindly. If during a game your opponent suddenly holds you back from deploying your plan (harass..) you should deal with it as efficient as possible while limiting the time and resources you use to deal with the holding back. After that go back to your main plan INSTANTLY, unless you have noticed that your plan isn't going to work out or unless you have found a clear gap in your opponents game.
4) If you've done the things above and think you master them well enough, but still have issues, work on your micro, macro and multi tasking. Their are tons of great arcades games that have been designed specially therefor (ex: like the Team Liquid Multi task trainer). Also work on your mouse aiming, ex: I "used OSU - rhythm is just a click away" for some time and it helped greatly improved my aiming (I'm able to deal with 6 pool while not losing more than 1 or 2 SCV's nor to much mining time, this makes me win 85 % of games were people try to cheese me).
5) If you've done the things above and think you master them well enough, but still have issues, do them over and over, practice makes perfect.

And finally if you want to reach a certain goal (ex: get into masters within the 2-3 months while you have been struggling in diamond for a long time).

Have a healthy life
Eat good
Takes breaks when you play every few games
Do a minimum of physical exercise (walking outside for 15-20 minutes a day is more than enough)
Don't play for 24 hours and then sleep for another 24. You'll lose concentration and the more often you spend to much time playing will result in a bigger concentration loss the next day. On the other hand if you only play during the time were you're 100 % concentrated you'll greatly increase your concentration skills the next day.
Have good ergonomics while playing (underrated by almost every non pro gamer - just go to a Lan and you'll notice that 85 % of the players are sitting on their desk like a coach patato ^^). Just compare your way of sitting on your desk with those of pro gamers. All the pro gamers have more or less the same ergonomics.
Enough Light is at your desk is very important to. A lack a light will result in a lack of concentration.

Create a weekly planning that you'll have to review every weak and respect it:
Time for league games
Time for training with training partner
Time for micro/macro/multitask training
Time for aiming skills training

The time you have to spend on each of those depends on yourselves and on your free time you allocate to Starcraft . You have to find out where you can improve the most and allocate the most time to this.

I did something like this when I wanted to improve
Time for league games - 50%
Time for training with training partner - 35 %
Time for micro/macro/multitask training - 10 %
Time for aiming skills training - 5% %

Before I launch a league game or training with training partner I first started a small aiming skills training to warm up my hands after that I did a micro/macro/multitask training and only after this I would go to league games or training partner.

I did this back in the days when I played Starcraft Broodwar and it helped me reaching top 10 europe league games (called ladder at SC1 BW), high iccup rating, high WGT rating, high PGT rating... .
One of my mates had a lot of free time and did a schedule 5 days a week for 5 hours a day and he finally made it to World Cyber Games in Seoul after having been playing the game for 12 months normally and 8 with a real planning.

Have you seen Life vs any terran who goes widowmines? he makes them look like the worst unit in the game. If normal bad Zergs would use their brains for once then they wouldnt have so much trouble with them either.

Zergs don't believe the fact, that widowmines are fucking trash, they are too bad to realize.

i think he means involving splits vs banes and drop micro ect as pushing the most buttons. even then though it really depends on the player
