For Build orders you really one need to follow it till like 30-40 food. From there as long as you spend money and tech appropriately you are fine.
Secondly hotkeys do as rick said, hotkey nexus's to 4 or 5 and army to 1 and let it evolve on its own. No point in trying to lock yourself into one style experiment and find what is best
