hey the polgar sisters all are grandmaster chess players because their dad trained them specifically since they were that age.

i grew up playing doom, blowing away demons since age 6 on the pc, so i think i'm all set

Just did a quick google search, and these girls kinda cute and absolutely SLAM NERDS in chess.

What a badass.

Lol; beating grandmasters at age 11.

wow. i try to get my friend to practice with me just saying notation back and forth with no board but he always gives up cuz it gets too hard. That's how grandmasters do some of their trainging

shits way too hard though. Thats where starcraft comes in, rewards fast thinking more than deep thinking and imo thats a lot easier/more fun.

I fear my friends wont be seeing much of me after the quickdraw machine gets here (I had Quickdraw laser engraved into the case)

I don't see how you can remember where the pieces are?

you have such a deep mental image of the board and how the pieces are affecting eachother that seeing the board stops being really important at all.

Morphy would go undefeated playing against grandmasters in blindfold games against like 20 people at once.
