the "help" the world is just like any other sportsman, I mean what a pro football player does in and after his career, he continues to work in the industry as coach or something, starts a business or makes enough money to not have to do anything at all, and they are egomaniacs and all that for just kicking round object on a field

footballs are round?

oh i guess if you're european then sure.

I love the unwillingness to admit that starcraft is just "a game"

a game...

a game....

My life is just fine, and as far as a "waste of time". Most Starcraft players I know, especially the good ones, are going to college/university/grad school.

Diablo 2 and easy games like that is actually where I met most of the fat losers who turned to drugs or some other sleezy lifestyle tbh

im not saying all people who play sc2 are time wasters, just that playing sc2 is not a productive activity as the esports coon-munity wants everyone to believe.

football/soccer is a game, I used to play it with my friends in the backyard, does not mean it can't be a big ass industry that you can make legitimate career off

for me as a casual starcrafter, it is just a game and entertainment, does not apply to everyone

Ah, yes, because entertaning itself is such a benevolent thing that makes the world a better place...ah yes...

Let us think of the many entertainers who contributed so much to the world...

Little wayne, what a beacon of light and intellect this man has been!

Ashley simpson...lady gaga...justin beiber...

Clearly entertaining makes you an altruistic person who gives so much to the world.

Well, cognitive science is really interested in the effects starcraft has on the brain.

"are hailing the game for its ability to help them study "attention, multitasking, and learning", the game's quick speed and reliance on strategy blowing chess out of the water in terms of challenging us mentally."

It is "just a game" but apparently science says it's more then that?
