if i think it's casual? or because i think [insert 10 other points i made]

sweet post bro

it's impossible to be "terrible" at moba games if you're masters on starcraft 2, so i doubt i'm "terrible".

in a casual sense yes, you can just play . but you will lose a lot.

there are players that play a few games a week, which they dont really learn anything
in a competitive standpoint, you NEED to be playing every day, with the same roles (while you're learning ) to be not terrible at the game.
otherwise you';re just complete shit and if you play against anyone that is somewhat good at the game you will get destroyed.

While I'll agree that MOBA's are taking over, I'll say that the sc2 ladder/melee game is not for casual gamers. In order to be successful in sc2, you need to do homework. What casual gamer wants to invest their free time in studying builds and preparing for 20 different possibilities? In any moba, you join a game and play the same game you've always known (with small meta changes through the years). You can hate on league of legends and dota 2 and any other moba, but don't hate on the people that play them. They play the game because it IS easy, and because there is no preparation required. That's why I've stopped playing sc2 as much, as amazing of a game as it is... I just get tired of the rollercoaster.

Casuals don't play sc2 so it is dying. That's pretty much the consensus of everyone.

you can take 2 weeks off from league of legends, pick up the game, play one normal game, and rush into ranked like you never skipped a beat. there is nothing to remember besides maybe a few timings for jungling and the simple playstyle, along with how each role is to be played (aggressive, passive). with sc2 - well you're aware of everything that you need to do to win.

i'll leave it at that. we can all agree that league of legends is casual and sc2 is not.

League of Legends is way way WAY easier than Sc2, Starcraft is down right stressful sometimes.

I agree a lot with him. I mean I've gotten pretty competitive and that is what you need to climb ladder to the top, but if you think about it
masters and up is 2% with gm being 0.1ish % the rest of the 95+% are completely ignored in the form of balance and game-play focus.

I started playing LoL about 3 weeks ago and ill say its simple its nice, but ofc not sc2. I've slowly stopped playing the game simply because
no one gives a shit about it any more. Those that do play it do nothing but down it and I don't blame them. I have yet to meet anyone in the
past 3 years of high school that owned and played a copy of sc2. Its upsetting and I personally am tired of wasting time playing a game-play broken game
that is very unpopular and losing the interest of the few involved in it.

Yeah yeah

league sure, dota not so much

i noticed a difference in my play after taking like a month off dota and then playing a few, you forgot timings and such and its not as fluent

but league requires no intelligence to play
