Well you're exaggerating "ultra super late game", if Protoss isn't doing a timing then it's going to go to the super late game. I mean Terran doesn't need 5 bases , they can sit on 3 bases and get 10ghosts/15vikings/3-3and MMM pretty easily, if Protoss doesn't take an advantage before that then Terran has a huge advantage. Protoss is either forced to all in or play for the late game in which they have the advantage.

The reason the game has evolved this way was because in the past, when it was fun to watch, Protoss was the strongest in the late game hands down but they didn't figure out how to hold early game pressure. As the game evolved, Protoss late game became the weakest and they figured out how to hold most pressure early game. So there's no reason for Terran and Zerg to try to end the game, ever. Terran and Zerg can sit back and go into the lategame with confidence. Protoss is forced to put pressure or try to end the game, but by design any aggression Protoss does is borderline all-in. Thus boring games.

Solution - either buff early game Z and T or nerf early game P and then buff late game P to compensate.

Then the game becomes 'kill protoss before they get too strong', which is exciting.

That's a retarded concept, every race should be just equal.
Every race should have it's strengths but not by how much time passed, because that's just retarded, then you are kinda like forced to all in because if you don't win before a point of time, then you just lost. That is incredibly stupid.

races will never be balanced at every stage of the game, each race will have their strengths at different stages of the game and there's nothing wrong with that.

seriously though, this game is terrible

I have gone back to watching snipealot on tl and clinging on to the glory days.
The only matchup that even has a shred of the depth of BW is TvT

PvZ? 2 base all in because who wants to play vs infestor broodlord?
PvT? The most decent of the protoss matchups (which just goes to show how fucking garbage this game is)
PvP? ZzZzZzZ
TvZ? Read: Infestor broodlord
TvP? Read: PvT
TvT? Most skill intensive matchup
ZvP? Try to hold off the inevitable 2 base all in, if this works tech to infestor broodlord and win
ZvZ? Every once in a while I see a good game, but poor unit design (read: roaches) lead to boring and stagnant games
ZvT? Infestor broodlord

I write this as a high masters random player who fucking HATES SC2, there is no race I favor more than the other.
I'm back to sucking on iccup (C+ for the win), but at least BW has depth and is actually fun to play

Not really, it CAN be balanced, it's just a matter of time, and we should be aiming for that, instead of creating intentional imbalances.

I remember that I was actually excited about tournaments back then, I've been watching quite a lot good games, where it was actually fun to watch, nowadays I'm barely cheering, or being happy for one's victory, it is in fact boring.
The metagame doesn't have too much variations, this game needs more viable unit compositions and strategies, but i fear it won't be a short time, this game is not going to be ready until legacy of the void.

why is ''kill protoss before they get too strong'' better than 'kill the zerg before they get too strong', you know, what it is now?

Because when Protoss has to kill a race before they win lategame it's just an all in. Protoss all ins are predictable and boring, there's no excitement or drama. It's just Protoss doing the same old build, there aren't many Protoss all ins.

Terran all ins are somewhat exciting, the variety of Zerg all ins are interesting and the game doesn't end when they fail.
