To impress someone that isn't the same ethnicity is greater "prestige". You should know that, these Koreans play for GSL, but they want to impress foreigners the most. It's natural that you want to prove that your ethnicity is the best.
Let's look at the crowd of MLG and GSL. Only thing you get out of GSL is notification of actually being the "best" because the best and everyting 1cm behind them is there.
