Lol, jesus christ.

I don't see you at any Major events, making money playing sc, or living in a team house.

Yes, Miniguns opinions values much more than yours and all of us.

Are you joking?

No it doesn't.

I've made over $10,000 in SC2, just because I don't play in any huge events doesn't mean my opinion is less valid. SC2 success is pretty volatile and now days has little to do with skill. He'll probably agree with what I'm saying, I'm not necessarily disagreeing with what he said, I'm just saying that if he means that any form of ladder is good practice then he's wrong. He said that NA ladder is bad practice, I'm saying he's right but that all of ladder is bad practice. Why would his opinion on that be more valid than mine?

And has he / does he live in a team house? Not that that's relevant in the slightest, I've been offered spots in 2 team houses so far, practice with a ton of top players regularly, have made a shit load of money off sc2, and could play in tournaments 24/7 if I wanted to. But guess what? It's really not worth it in the end. I don't care to play in tournaments or travel for SC2. It's not something I'm interested in and it's not why I play SC2 but that has very little to do with the validity of my claims, especially since the topic we're arguing about has nothing to do with going to tournaments, making money, and living in a team house.

SC2 - the only game where metal league players think they know more than professional players.

I've been on Check Six, who many consider to be professional team and I've had offers to join other 'pro' teams. I enjoy being in smaller teams with friends than big teams and getting paid.

I was offered a spot in complexity when NOVA was being recruited in the beginning.

e/ lol it's so cute you actually are trying to be condescending to someone in a game that you aren't good at and have no clue how the game works. I swear, only in video games can that shit happen.

Why do you need a jerk? I'm sure minigun has a life outside of Starcraft and is probably in school or has a job.  Even if he doesn't, anyone who's made it in NA has made sacrifices: HuK, IdrA.  If you aren't willing to give up everything, you will accomplish nothing. Playing on NA seems to give the top players an illusory feeling of being at the top, which comes from beating up on amateurs who play the game casually (Top Masters - Mid Gms).

It has nothing to do with whether NA ladder is terrible or not. Minigun has plateau'd just like Jinro, Idra, Incholesterol, etc. They'd need to stay in Korea for at least 5 months in order to improve their mechanics, decision-making, etc and follow the Koreantraining regime, which consists of playing SC2 10-12 hours a day. People like Minigun aren't willing to make that sacrifice due to laziness and the lack of motivation - no team house with coaches and players by his side. He'll never show his true potential or lack thereof if he doesn't invest a substantial amount of time into this.

Anyway, I think he said he considers this more of a hobby than a job, so I don't even know why this kid is ranting about how dedicated/competent players roflstomp'd him lol - what a spoiled brat.

To be fair, the skill gab between people like Minigun and people like MC really isn't that high; relative to like the overall skill it takes to play SC2. But the time and effort it takes to make that really small improvement to put yourself on that same level, in most cases, isn't worth it. You can make more money playing SC2 doing things like casting, coaching, personality stuff, etc than actually being good.

e/ which in the end is why sc2/esports will fail.
