Did you even read the OPs original question? At which point did I say mech is a viable build? He specifically asked how to annoy his opponents as much as possible, and trying to break turtle mech is annoying as fuck when they don't ever attack.

its fucking easy to break anything mech related if you have a brain
you just don't let him get him turtle up properly
as soon as you scout that he is going mech (which should be really early) you just GREED like shit and ez him out, because he won't be able to do shit about it other than harassing some
then you just amove trade very inefficiently, but who the fuck cares since you have five times the income (well actually the sad thing is that most of the time you can even trade cost effectively)

You realize how juvenile you are? "Mech is a bad example because it's easy to beat, just scout it and tech to tier 3 and play a 35 minute game." Meanwhile, your suggestion was to do a vague "gay cheese" which can also easily be scouted and countered. Literally what.

Personally, I am the most frustrated when I'm playing against a turtling mech player because he will just sit behind things like defensive planetary fortresses and siege lines and slowly expand. No, it's not unbeatable, but because he's going mech, it forces me to play a certain way that is not, at all, engaging.

And less experienced players, like this guy and probably his friend, are likely not patient enough to realize this and will carelessly lose army after army trying to break it.
