Although without crying too much I feel like it hurts Protoss the most to not scout. Simply due to the different army comps it needs compared to what T/Z can get away with.

So if OP is going Protoss, you really need to focus on scouting.

Scouting is important for all races.

But, the only message I am concerned about today is throwing out this despicable definition of the word "metagame". It sickens me to see starcraft players use it in this way.

well, its important to know the most common builds. Scouting without knowing what will follow is kinda bad, you want to be a step ahead. so you scout and know what you have to expect and at what time. but keep on scouting anyway. on higher ranks your opponent will do the same and it gets more difficult.

well since ur protoss anything below 80% is struggling.

Not sure if this is salt, or just a negative post. Either way, you contributed nothing by saying this. Meta is a thing in any game. Build X could have been something people realized was viable in Season A. Verse Season B another viable and productive build found, that is getting spammed. I noted I'm an SC vet, so I don't need schooling on vocabulary. I asked for assistance in knowledge since I been missing for quite some time. Thanks for the post though man.

Newbies and veterans alike use the wrong definition. The "metagame" is outside forces influencing the game, not "common strategies". Simple as that.

Like others have suggested, watching streams is the easiest way to learn the game other than just playing it. We have some good streamers here too. Vlare is a good Protoss stream (www.twitch.tv/vlare) to watch, Tao is a good zerg stream to (www.twitch.tv/dystopia). Unfortunately we don't have any good terran streamers here but we used to have the best.

acutally meta is just a prefix and literraly stands for "after" and "beyond" but it also means "about". For example in metadata or metatags, its information about data
so actually it seems like the new definition fits way better than the old.

this means, talking about the currrent metagame actually means how the game is played at the moment. So imo its valid to say f.e.: the meta in lotv has changed that people take the natural expansion earlier than in hots.
