25 energy photon overcharge, on the over hand, is too much. Being permanently safe from almost all forms of harrassment is a little much.

I mean 25 seems a bit too cheap.
I agree.
It's not all forms. It's being able to fortify 1 location~

But 50 is going to slaughter being able to take a reasonably quick 3rd pvz I think. Unless they change the regen rates?

I think they wanna nerf the overcharge because of pylon rushing though?

idk we will see but I think once this shit goes live, P won't be able to take quick 3rds easily. Which, bias aside, will make PvZ a shit matchup again because macro games will be total shit.

They said it's too spammable and it is. You can almost keep a single pylon overcharged indefinitely.

As for taking thirds, Protoss players could always go back to making the walled in cannon or just planting a pylon first and waiting for it to finish. It will still be easier to take a third in this game than it was in HotS...

You gotta understand that if zerg wants to pump out 30 lings to delay your third then it's only going to delay your third for a time and it really shouldn't do more damage than that. Especially with adepts in this game. And 15 drones are more useful than a slightly delayed third base from your opponent.

Cannon thing won't work because then we need super quick forge~ And walling with gates etc is asking to get fucked by Ravager 60dmg/7sec bullshit.

I am certain P will figure it out but I think it will be INSANELY tough compared to before.
As for the 30ling example. The difference is that P won't push you if you delay the B3. And you already have equal/ahead in drones even doing that. So the Late B3 works more for you than against you imo.

edit: anyways no point really theory crafting too much until we get a real patch

It's still just 50 energy and it will also last longer and deal more damage. Will just require more selective overcharging instead of mindlessly overcharging every pylon because it costs basically nothing.

Mmm you won't have 200 energy though. So the amount of charges you have at the timing will be like 70% less lol.

And the time is 5sec lol.

Anyways like I said, we have to see how it pans out but it's a big nerf.

Will be fine. It's a small nerf. People who continue to spam overcharge like it's free might lose more often.

That would be a good idea.

I agree that the early adepts drop in main base in TvP are hard for T to handle.
Personally if I scout fast robo and many gases, I'll go for a quick cyclone and always keep like 50% of my army in the base..

Cyclone is rly good at sniping the warp prism

Almost like Mine drops are hard to handle. And can instantly be game changing.
But alas, sc2 is not meant to be easy and faceroll. That's what makes it so fun.

Good thing Terran has Mules so even if they lose workers they can get a mule equal to 4 workers every 50sec~

This is an interesting idea. It would be good in some situations ( spamming at 3rd) and bad in others (being doom dropped / holding 1b/2b all ins - Hell, even holding proxy 4 racks would be 10x harder).
