Any overall tips for using Protoss for a beginner? Are the cannons worth it for defensive setup? etc.
Also how many miners should I have on a mineral field per base (is it the same for my main city as my expansion cities?)
Thanks for the help guys!
Oh yes, cannons are good.
Protoss unit, good unit.
Put 18 probes on your minerals + 3 in each gas, try not to go over that amount if you don't have to.
Constantly make units, specifically colossus and archons.
Some immortals too, and don't forget the best unit of all, sentries! Forcefield is your best friend, it's literally an in game map editor.
Survive and never attack until 200/200, once you reach max army, simply 1a at opponents base, minimize the game and browse some porn or something (you won't need to continue playing after this point).
After about a minute of your opponent furiously trying to kill your un-killable force he'll likely share his thoughts about your mother along with some racial slurs and inevitably leave the game.
If by some miracle your army does die (very rare) be sure to have a dark shrine made, simply warp in a round of DT's wherever you please do ensure your advantage as you've most likely done irreversible damage anyways.
The options are endless with Protoss, which is what makes them so fun to play.
You can even get fancy and hide tech buildings to further keep your opponent guessing, even though it's not even needed.
Hope this helps, and see you in grand master league in no time!
