It's still better at multitasking and performance. The i5 is right behind it though, which is why it is a great choice for the price.

If you game, and run a lot of stuff in the background, the i7 is still better. Overall it's better.

This is a thread about making a computer for Sc2, hence i5 is better. Also paying an extra $100 dollars for literally 3% extra performance index(5 extra fps) would be the dumbest thing you could ever do because there is virtually no difference when regarding gaming.
