the casual empire was just sitting there after they all lost interest in WoW

the reason they love LoL is because they love dota & they just don't know it
all of them are addicted to a kids version of dota

its too bad they aren't here giving sc2 the money it needs but its too hard of a game for them

I was sucked into the LoL vortex when I started playing.

If you enjoy those types of games it can be extremely addicting.

I found myself spending like ~$100 on extra shit for the game in intervals of like $10.

It's a huge money sink but I am completely bored of it.

Came back to SC2 because I hated the team aspect and eventually couldn't deal with it anymore.

It is very popular probably because its much less "skill" based and much more teamwork.

league has a ridiculous amount of players but not that big of a viewership in comparison

its popular because its free, easy and riot poured in tons of money to make it a competitive title. paying its way into tournaments and putting up its own prize pools.

Played dota, currently play lol and sc2.
Basically f2p, better marketing strategies, lots of tournaments with a ridicolous viewerbase compared to sc2 and good prize pools.
In my opinion lol is way more entertaining than dota.
And i lol'd at the people saying lol is an easy game.. league of legends ladder is actually way harder to climb than sc2 ladder.
Obviously, mechanics wise it looks like child's play compared to sc2, but you can't compare such different games.
