check if your internet drops while using firefox/browsing. try running runescape or something (ew) just to test if you can stay in the game w/o losing conn for a few seconds.

if it's only sc2....i would consider reinstall (wipe all registry, everything). also consider the new router thing too.

Yeah, apparently all my other IT friends are saying the same thing. They're old, they're crap and they overheat and die fairly quickly.

Check to see if your router is a decent enough model and isn't THAT old. My friend had a similar issue when he used to play Heroes of Newerth. The problem was that the game sends a shitton of packets and cause the router to overload and then the entire device reboots.
