i play swarmhost zerg, sometimes supported bye some muta when play vs terran
medivac/rex-units/widowmine are freekills
terran tanks+air is needed.
when terran air+tanks are up, zerg ground economical overflow is ignored(zergling+baneling), zerg tactical ground overflow is stopped(swarmhost), only zerg(non-muta-air) economical overflow can chainge the ty.
and this is not gone happen, if terran have planned this!
i am just sharing my zerg-fear for tarran tactics!
and muta, is a often used zerg unit, that can be completly overruled for tiny miniral costs, (my my spores for example, but i am willing to teoriecraft about terran anti zerg-air/tactics)
but a 12-14min scan, and then spending this minirals will be to late, ontop the spended minirals will also add to the offensive terran plan!
so you have a muta:
range 3, stronk against viking
this viking is not there to combat the muta
its there to extand the range of the missle turret!
missle turret range = 7(or 8 when upgraded)
viking have 9range
now if viking is shooting at a distance from 4 of the missle turret, and muta comes to attack the viking, missle turret will kill muta
therefore, missle turret effects spreeds to 4+9=13range
now add a tiny viking attack+retreating micro, and you make thouse missle turret range have 250%effect
now missle turret can be build in pairs instead of spread out, therefor can not be sniped bye muta, and do more damage
this is not only anti-muta
this is also banchee support
now vikings have been build, and defend
and 4-5tank+3missle turrets cloose at enemy position, allow you to have 2 strongholds at ones, and you somehow re-use the viking from defend to offend (posible some tanks/banchee in the process, from defend to offend)
