I wrote a legitimate response to this but then erased it because the logic obviously goes way over your head.
So I'll just tl;dr : Your logic: "I can't beat swarmhosts with mech therefore mech isn't viable." You're just admitting you're bad at mech thats about it.
Or you just can't play zerg, at all, really.
Once zerg gets to a certain number of swarmhosts, they will slowly break through your defense, no matter how many siege tanks you have. You can't stack up your siege tanks, since with the blinding cloud the zerg would just roll you over, therefore you won't have enough effective DPS to finish the locust off before they can even shoot. Next to that the zerg can prepare for anything, you won't be able to drop, you can't do shit, you can't pressure forward, the locusts spawning period is just too short, to engage into them without major losses against basically FREE units. You are free to tech to the fuck ever you want, get a big fucking bank, while the terran sweats blood just to not to lose resources to your free units. Raven's don't doo shit against swarm hosts sadly, they are too big to be affected by their aoe. Only way out is a 200/200 skyterran comp, but let's be honest I'll make 40 swarmhosts earlier than you can produce a single battlecruiser while trying to survive (wich is still only giving you a chance of winning) It all really depends on how the zerg plays it out, there is nothing you can do against a decent zerg.
You are pinned down, forced to bunker up, cannot be active on the map, you cannot do shit, and locusts are slowly tearing you apart gg, that's mech tvz for you. There are very small timing windows where you can actually do anything to kill or hurt the zerg just enough not to get into this situation. Why would anyone fucking struggle with that when bio mine is just the way better. And no, your mid master terran on NA doesn't mean shit, you don't play against anyone close to decent with zerg LOL.
