ok, so you have a car that runs 100mph top speed.
you drive on a street with 2 lanes and one of them is completely empty, so you can drive 100mph.

now you "upgrade" to a 4 lane speedway and 3 of the 4 are completely empty. how fast can you drive now? right, still 100mph!

more bandwith does not lower your ping in any online game because your packets won't travel faster.
