so, this dude wouldn't have been able to swap to muta like that if he wasn't so god awful and you had been aggressive

against swarm hosts there is a huge window to push and kill them after locust spawn, they're very weak against drop play, and they need the horribly long locust upgrade to be truly effective. before that upgrade finishes, you can scout he's going swarm host and lay some aggression into him.

swarm hosts are really upgrade-greedy and they need 1/1 + locust duration to be effective, and you can't get a critical mass of them without 3 base mineral saturation. honestly, if you just zealot drop mineral lines and then dump some gateway units on the hosts while they're not spawning locusts, you could have won.

his mechanics were so bad that you could have cleaned him out once his contain was broken, and even zergs with perfect mechanics are extremely weak to any follow up pushes after you break swarm host contains.

also, as soon as you see swarm hosts, you need to stop void ray production because they don't do shit against hosts. if you're already dedicated to stargate play, 4-5 phoenix would be better to gain air control/pick overlords to starve our the swarm hosts, as well as colossi to deal with the locust threat.

I will try not making voidrays. But if you watched the replay, as soon as my WP got to his base, I was met with Hydra. There's no reason a 3+base zerg shouldn't leave behind a hydra or two to deny warp prisms, or even spine/spore which is why I did not continue dropping him. But honestly, after Z can contain you to2base for 14+minutes while banking gas, since Swarmhosts don't actually cost gas, this puts Zerg in such a commanding position. I don't think this guy was good by any means, in fact, I think the opposite. But it is a little silly how easy it is. Locusts actually shit on gateway units so hard, it's not even funny. Hell, they even trade well vs Collosus unless you kite or have like 7+ collosus. The reason I went voidrays is, most Zergs either go into Corrupter or Queen with SwarmHosts, so It has become a habbit of mine to go voidrays. The reason this game was weird is because, if you look at my scouting information and how blind I am. It is VERY difficult for me to do a safe opener. I normally take fast thirds, and him opening quick gas like that really throws a wrench in it. This puts me in a position where I have to coinflip my tech, and that is actually a fundamental problem in the PvZ MU I feel. Because I have to drop tech before it is even possible for me to have scouting information required to know which tech to drop. And my coinflip choice can be either really good or bad, or soso.

Unzip fly, slap dick on keyboard. Hopefully you make enough void rays to win.
