I refer you to the first post:

You see, these are the difference between "esports" and the rest of the world. The "pro" community is just a bunch of self absorbed ego maniacs (the pro's) and wannabe hangers on (the fanboys).

I think you know where you fit in.

Your part about "Sure, they make a decent living and enjoy a bit of "fame" for being good at what they do," - Thats like almost every musician, band etc.

Progamers like Day9, Sheth, and others have actually made a positive impact on my life (and I'm sure many others). Starcraft is a game that attracts a very specific mental demographic because of it's skillsets and skill requirements to play. These guys show that with a positive attitude, hard work and a decent sense of humility you can get a lot accomplished in life. Which translates to anything. Since theres a lot of kids who play this game, it has a greater impact hearing it from a progamer rather than your parents or a teacher.

Thanks to Esports kids who don't have an interest in football, soccer, basketball etc. Have a strong interactive community where they can compete and engage in an intensive activity where they can feel welcome.

I see what you are saying about the negative aspects of esports, but as far as negative aspects go, esports doesnt rip off millions in tax dollars to build a stadium, where they give nothing back to you except overpriced tickets and concessions for example.

the "help" the world is just like any other sportsman, I mean what a pro football player does in and after his career, he continues to work in the industry as coach or something, starts a business or makes enough money to not have to do anything at all, and they are egomaniacs and all that for just kicking round object on a field

If it wasn't for hard working men like IdrA making this country what it is today we would all be living on rice and begging in the streets.

If you feel enriched by being a part of a community of fat losers, then i pity you, your life must have REALLY sucked before
