I do. In theory you could already do a ghost timing TvP...and the way most Protoss open (heavy sentry) you could deal some real damage by eliminating all FFs.
Bringing snipe back to where it was could only improve such an attack.

hes not suggesting they bring it back to where it was; hes suggesting they increase the damage to 45 against everything but massive units so it really wouldnt change tvz very much unless you're into ghost drops

well i guess it would deal 45 damage to broodlords so maybe, but people would just bitch about tech switches in the same vein as forcing vikings or something

Broods are massive. It wouldn't change TvZ too much beyond bane/muta snipes. I'm more interested in the TvP mechanics :)

oh when i read "i think it would open up more timings" i missed the tvp part because the thread is about tvz after all

How will snipe change affect balance issues? You make expensive ghosts and u want to waste their energy on crap units? It's only good on high valued units.

Agree on the visibility change, but blizzard is already considering that.

Well i remember qxc talking that ghosts should have higher gas and lesser minerals in order to make them used more in an endgame composition. He also said that they really should only be used for nuke harassing mineral lines in the late game which can be very good.

they were originally 150/150 for the first year+ of sc2. i really doubt they'll go back to that. terrans gas needs to go in lots of upgrades (ghost upgrades, stim, combat, infantry/mech upgrades, siege mode) and air units. 50 more gas per ghost would be a bit much.
