I won this game. Thank you guys so much for the tips, I feel much more confident in tvz. Still hate this shit tho -_-

Got a little lucky on this last TvZ. Against a lot greedier zerg I feel like you would have been punished.

He mad unecessary spines and banes early on even when you CC'd first. He also engaged you in the most perfect position.

Try mech dude... It literally saves you such a head ache.

Game 3:
You have exactly the opposite problem this game. Good hold, but then you push...don't push half-assed against an early Zerg attack. If he makes that many lings, what is he NOT making? That many drones. Wait it out, if he keeps attacking you win by default (he has no economy). If he stops attacking for a short time, you push after you have a reasonable army (he's thrown away units and has a weaker economy, if he tries to catch up in economy he has no army and you murder him, if he goes for army you trade and maintain an economic advantage).
Better tank timing this game, when you consider the pressure.
14 minutes, tank unsieged. Add a second factory so you can get a reasonable tank count because this 1-2 tank thing isn't cutting it against these ling/bling armies.
Army out of position + wall unfinished -> lose a lot to attack. Don't secure 3rd before sending like 30 SCVs over there -> suicide 30 SCVs. Keep a clear head and make sure to secure the expand before sending SCVs down there.

99% of this game you lose because you never held the watchtower. SCOUTING will make you impenetrable against these attacks. If you know they're coming, you pre-split. You finish walls. You siege tanks. These are things I know you can do if you know you need to do them. You just have to have that knowledge that an attack is coming! Send out a few marines routinely to clear watchtowers and leave one there. That 5-10 seconds of advanced notice will win you so many games you have no idea.

Also have to agree with what Thing1 said: you have no early game presence (partially due to your opening, partially due to over-cautious play). A hellion style opening may help you with that. If you keep up the marine thing and find that when you get aggressive you have problems, try switching it up and opening with a few hellions.

Game 4:
You go out to clear the watch tower, clear it and come back, but never actually leave units there to hold it ; ; pls scouting.
Position your turrets better. You waste a lot of minerals on unnecessary turrets...you could be building an additional CC with that money.

Your play was SO MUCH BETTER this game. You were dropping and pressuring. Ladder drop during the attack. Tanks were better spread and sieged in time.

Engage @ 20: 2 tanks balls deep in the front. Too far out :P probably lost you that engage by themselves.
@21, marines die, run the tanks back and wait for more marines. If he had been smart he would've killed all your tanks instead of half.
Good hold against the broods. You lost a lot of vikings due to poor control/not moving up marines to support but you ended up surviving.

Watch games 2 and 4 again and compare your vision around 11 minutes in both games to the Zerg's vision. Every game your vision extends to the edge of your base...where as the Zerg has units spread all around the map, lings patrolling, blocking expos, holding watch towers. You need to be the one with that sort of vision or you won't be able to progress.

4 rax is borderline all in and adding an engineering bay is just pushing it, try a macro approach such as 2 rax expo or vice versa

that was all after I'd expanded. IF YOU WOULD WATCH THE REPLAY ....P,;;.;.;.L;..;...........

jk, but yeah I had already expanded. problem was, I was on a fresh expansion and had 4 raxes and an ***. can't make 200 minerals worth of marines and 2 scvs every ~25 seconds, while getting upgrades on only 20 scvs T_T
