You should watch streams/old VODs. As a Terran player you should learn how to execute timing attacks. There are actually many different kinds, even for each play style (Mech/bio/etc.). Also keep constant pressure, many Terran players will keep constant pressure with drops/hellions.
Im really bad at dropping/macroing while dropping. I just feel like its never worth it and that if I lose a medivac it will give them such an advantage that, for zerg, is just almost an instantwin. Usually my drops get spotted by ovies or some shit so I just back out sometimes.
I really need to get better at macroing/pressuring. I usually just try to do a timing attack with my upgrades before they get broods or something. But usually infestors/blings/roaches keep me at bay. Also my marine splitting is atrocious.

I posted this on another thread, but seemed relevant.
MMM vs Ling / Bling is easy mode; ctrl click marines, stim, and split. Let marauders soak the bling splash damage (prayers of bad zerg micro, but zerg right?). It is imperative to make sure you don't split to far away from your initial engagement. Given that if you split your forces to far you won't have enough DPS output to clean up.
MMM vs Ling / Bling / Festor requires far more micro and should be pre-splitting before engagements to minimize fungal damage, or you can mass medis, given that your DPS output will be significantly lower.
Splitting and kiting are two different things. Common sense I know.
It is also a good habit to check your flanks

If you want to be super safe check your Six
If you have a forward marine it will also warn you on when to Siege your tanks.
Tanks can tank damage like Marauders.
Everything else still applies.
While I understand you said that your opponent had roached in the composition this is pretty much given.
Learn to split like a champ and you'll be fine.
All easier said then done. Hope this post helps!Thank you sir, that did help
