Okay well I added in a couple of questions in the other thread if you guys can check it out
Does dual core vs quad core make a huge difference? If yes I'm willing to pay extra for it

Spend the few extra bucks for a i5-2500k build. It will last you for YEARS to come. The best bang for your buck price range is a bit higher than what you have it set at.

If you settle for sub par around 600-700$, you'll be upgrading parts for the next few years and in the long run end up spending more money. Just save the extra few hundred and get you something that will last a long time, and be easy (and worthwhile) to upgrade when necessary.

Phenom series are decent chips... But he'll regret it a few years down the line. It's better to just wait a bit and fork over the extra cash that will make it much more worthwhile

This is normally what I'd do but honestly 700 is my cap and this computer keeps dying on me randomly
It shuts down randomly when I'm in games, when I'm working on a project or assignment on the computer

Yes, but the Intel build will last longer before you need to upgrade it.

Up to you. Not much of a difference between a x4 or x6. I personally would go with x4 965

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103727

I have a 980, but the only difference is .3ghz (which isn't really much). You can easily overclock the 965 to 980 speeds and be perfectly okay with temperature and voltage (and life of CPU).

Not too sure on which GPU you should go with in your price range, but if it helps any I have a GTX 560Ti (250$) and it runs SC2 on maxed out settings. 70-120 fps in 1v1's. Never drops below 50 in 4v4's.

Sounds like either overheating or power problem. Instead of getting new computer upgrade or fix it. Quad ore is for multitasking, like running multiple programs at once. If you don't do thus dual core may be fine and should be a lot cheaper
