i never understood how that worked against T

It works 99% of the time whether they scout it or not

Outright wins or decinates them

Can go for scvs, stim research, free marine kills, hell even snipe some depots while telling them to open with 3 ravens next time

Burn scans, split dts, plus you can get away without losing anything

Then move onto archon / chargelots

dt still good unit, it works
they mostly combo it with adept drops
hell even I've been doing it when im playing toss, i can always feel the tumors growing

i had a buddy who was GM as random and ended up coaching for teams, his builds were godlike. My first time playing vs a nexus first was vs him on xelnaga caverns, several months before anyone ever nexus firsted in tournaments or anywhere else.

my 14g 14p couldn't do shit vs it.


enough random stories, his 'standard' opening versus terran as protoss was a DT drop build and he would tell other GM terrans what he was going to do to prove it works and play macro games from it.

I actually haven't had a chance to play much starcraft 2 in LOTV yet, I've been so busy with my move to California with my boyfriend and RL stuff that video games has been on the backburner =[

I will try to come up with some cool warp prism DT drop in the future. Don't you worry

It used to work against T all the time, because unless there were perfectly played Missle Turrets all over the T base, you could easily snipe the stim upgrade off of their tech reactors, or get abunch of SCV kills, or just force them to panick while you got your own 2nd base up and established.

Archons were already amazing against bio, zealots to take up front damage, you forced them to waste a lot of scans and go behind, easy access to tech as protoss because you made a robo and a twilight council. Etc.

But I'm currently in silver because I've played like 5 games of the new Xpac, I'm far behind atm.

Ima make a bronze to masters youtube series with opening DTs every game vs every race. Featuring trolling and tears and general protoss bullshit


In HOTS id always expand after warping in the first load of DTs, and double forge soon after

Only watched a handful of LOTV vids but the new build could be DTs off 2 base and make 3rd while dropping. Idk

i bursted out laughing.

It's really not likely to work in the other two matchups though. Zerg has too good scouting and way too easy access to detection. Protosses open with stargate or robo, they've got detection either way.
