So I am getting a little frustrated. I stopped playing SC2 a few season and when I stopped playing I worked my way from silver to gold 1 v 1. When I came back recently I played 1 ranked 1 v 1 placement match, lost(was extremely rusty), and was placed in Gold. I was happy with that. Well since then I have been highly positive with my wins and losses. I even won EIGHT games in a row. These games I won in a row were not cheese a single time. I did macro in to 10 minute timing attacks. My score was usually at least 10-15k higher than the other person, yet I have not been promoted.

I have been trying to research how the promo system works and most of the information I acquired is old and out of date. Does anyone know how the promotion system works at all and what more I have to do to get promoted?

no its not. it hasn't changed.

Just keep on playing. You'll get placed into your correct league eventually.

Lol it hasn't? Yea, it has. It used to be on a point system and it is no longer.

And yeah I am just going to keep playing. I have to be promoted eventually, it's just frustrating after winning so many in a row.

You shouldn't need more than 3 or 5. It depends on how long you are in the bracket and how well you are doing.

I feel like it has become significantly more challenging to get promoted...but there is really no point in thinking about it too much lol. Just keep playing and staying consistent and it will happen.

The other season i had to beat several active gms to get promoted to masters. My actual promo game was a pvp win against a gm

Frustrating...but that's what you get for playing a real game unlike league of losers for example

Yeah man I hear you. I just feel like I am def Plat, if not low Diamond skill level as of right now.

then just constantly beat ppl in that range and be happy that you're under the guise of being a goldy
