This pic has been up on reddit for a while and really explains why I'm getting destroyed in my bad kid plat league (I am rusty, but not plat league rusty).

So, basically 60% of the players quit playing the game (roughly?). Now the distribution works out well, I like it better this way, it's just that going from masters in many previous seasons, to having to deal with the increased skill across the board (because majority of players aren't playing) kind of sucks..
With the MMR decay, it's inevitable to drop leagues, unless you were already in GM or top Masters.
For us mid/low masters, diamond, and below, this deflation of players sucks.
However, I think that having master league be an accomplishment is cool. Just being in masters nowadays is like being a "top" master before.
Only thing that sucks is that it's very discouraging for a noob like myself to go out there and get bashed in plat league.
