Tired of all the toxic people in league so I thought I'd swap back over to rts. I've only been playing terran and only have a couple games in so far, but, I have a few questions

Is there no limit on army size? (with enough farms)
Are there mainly only 3 types of units? (ground/air/vehicle or special)
Are there any special hockey's for this game?

I used to be pretty good at wc3, so I get all the hot keys for building but what surprised me is that spamming a unit isn't bad like in wc3, my marines with upgrades are still good and can wipe out an army if I have a big enough force with a few thors along.

The one thing I hate is I have to a>click to have units attack right away, if you click to a position the units have to get right where they're supposed to before attacking, I guess games like ruse ruined it for me.

Anyway in addition to my questions are there any tips you guys have?

200 supply cap, same concept as the 100 supply cap in wc3 except no penalties to income once you reach certain supplies like in wc3.

workers, ground army units, air army units, spell casters, etc

F1 defaults to "select all idle workers" and F2 defaults to "select all army units" otherwise you have to set hotkeys for your units/buildings just like in wc3 (selecting them and pressing control + a number). Everything you can build and do with a unit has a default hotkey such as 'd' for drone, 's' for select larva, 't' for use stimpack with a marine, etc. Just kind of have to learn them all as you play. There are also the standard movement hot keys like 'h' for hold position 'a' for attack move.

Thanks a bunch for this info
Right now with a full army I'm building 10-15 marines, 3 thors, 3 of those strongest air units, and 3 healers
Then I have marauders go through and rape base when I wipe out their army

Is there any place for guides?

sc2 is a lot more about resource management and macro than it is about army compositions and micro (although those things are important)

if you're just starting, focus more on building scvs nonstop until you have ~60, getting orbitals asap and dropping MULEs on cooldown, and expanding appropriately

Focus on 3 things:
1: constant worker production
2: always spend all of your money
3: don't get supply blocked

Those are the 3 most important things to master. As you get better at those you'll see a rapid improvement in your skill and you'll win tons more games.

After those, as dwalk said, knowing when to expand is the big thing.

Alright, the last couple of games (now that I'm getting used to hotkeys) I've been getting around 60apm and think that I've been doing alright, I wasn't aware of going orbitals, not sure what MULEs are either, and my scv count was definitely low, didn't realize that

Supply blocked is when you can't produce anything because you need more food. Like being 11/11, or 36/36, or 154/154. Getting supply blocked means your opponent (theoretically) can produce while you can't produce anything. So don't get supply blocked.

Anything is better than Warcraft III, let's be honest here.

When you need more "food" as they call it.
