Let's say some guy is silver league and plays ranked 1v1's

He gets matched against a guy who is diamond 1v1 but that diamond guy is playing unranked with his offrace and his mmr is like silver-gold level in unranked.

Does the guy who wins the ranked (silver guy) gets credited for beating a diamond or just some guy whos same level as him in unranked??? (since thats what the guy is playing at the time)

it confuses me

well if you're sick of diamonds offracing on unranked, consider that you're probably getting better practice than vs another ranked silver

No its not about pratice its just about like mmr/points

Like I just traded couple games with some 3 times gm zerg but however I somehow lost more points when I lost than points when I won

kinda dumb lol

-14 loss
+12 win

ranked and unranked MMR are seperate so this "silver guy" would get credit for beating whatever MMR this guy was in unranked (silver)

is this "silver" friend of yours actually yourself?

It's a moving average.

Example:

I could be gold league, but have diamond MMR, my opponents would get credit for beating/losing to a diamond.

And then their mmr moves up to an average of their last (however many games) average of mmr wins and losses.

Indeed.

It's a really awesome accurate system.

I don't know if it would be better with just displaying the ELO actual number or doing the ranking/divisions like now.
