Hey guys,

I've been playing SC2 for nearly 2 weeks now, I just decided to start playing ladder straight away, I might as well start the learning curve early.
So sure enough I ended with a w/l like 3/15.

Anyways, I'm currently winning just over half of my games but haven't progressed out of bronze league yet.

Are there any metal league players (or higher I guess) out there that would like to play a few 1v1s; then if you have the time, let me know what I did wrong?
I often watch my replays when I lose and can spot a few things, but maybe my entire build was wrong etc.

tl,dr: Bronze player looking to get his butt kicked, if you tell him what he did wrong.

^_^

e/

be aware that the more games you accumulate losing vs bronzies on ladder will affect how many more games it takes to get out. aka your mmr is being set low by losing a lot.

I would play on EU or something instead of NA to learn. Then when you get kinda good you don't have to play 20 bronzies in a row to get to silver for example.

gl, 4 gate to diamond at least.

the goal should be improvement - jumping leagues is just a side effect of this. The goal is not to barely get into a higher division with as little effort as possible >.>

Yeah that's why I've stopped playing ladder for a bit.

I don't want to just get used to using a few strategies if I can help it.
Hoping to learn and just generally improve.
Obviously the more I play the better I'll get, but I don't just want to do 4 gate every game.

e/ I'm playing on EU, I'm from the UK. :)

don't stop laddering for dumb reasons like this

you play ladder, don't care about wins, losses, points or rank!
because it simply doesn't matter!
the more you win, the better are the players you will face. the rest is just dumb user interface (useless) , I'm being totally serious.

Win streaks alter Elo gain. So if you are truly better than those you play against, it doesn't matter how small your average gain/loss is when winning at 55%, because if you're winning at 70% you will get win streaks and get bigger gains.
