Some interesting notes:

Spore Crawler damage increased from 15 +15 vs. biological to 15 +30 vs. biological
Burrow research cost decreased from 100/100 to 50/50

Oracle movement speed increased from 3.375 to 4
Oracle acceleration increased from 2 to 3

static defense played an important role in zvz muta wars in brood war early on

i think the problem with muta wars is that it makes banelings practically useless, so you dont see the epic muta/ling/scourge wars in bw.

this just makes the game more turtling and massing >.>

The problem with muta wars is that mutalisks are cheap as fuck and ridiculously strong and mobile that you can mass easily due to low cost supply.
Why would the zerg make anything else when there are mutalisks?
