stop worrying about the ranks of the opponents your playing and how it will effect your promotion or demotion

the guy who matched up against you could have been searching for 10 seconds longer than you and had an expanded queue and hit someone outside his "rank" or vice versa

just keep playing games and if you're good enough to get promoted it will promote you, it works perfectly fine

if i see another promotion/demotion thread again im going to quickly rise to 70% warn again

Blizzard did NOT fuck up the ranking systems everyone.

It works flawlessly.

But dude, I just won 2 games in a row. I need to be promoted a couple leagues so the kids in third hour respect me!

Also, I should point out that MMR is continuous and not discrete : The fact that you're diamond now and platinum the game before doesn't change your MMR by much, and the fact that you're rank 1 gold league doesn't restrict you to playing only against gold players
