Yes, F2 is bad in most situations since you can't hit more than 1 place on the map while attacking using it, and it streamlines your units to 1 spot making it more likely for the opponent to get the surround/concave on you whereas using multiple control groups means you can hit multiple parts of their base at once (HUGE in lower leagues, since so many people F2 and can't defend 2 spots at once) and get better spread for engagements.

Go play some long macro games vs. Elite AI (custom game and set their style to economic, since the timing attack/aggressive ones will play dumb after it fails) The point not being so much about the computer, but about your ability to play through to end-game using different unit compositions without imposing any roadblocks on yourself while keeping your resources low. The AI is just there to apply pressure so you don't get too complacent/tunnel visioned on macro.

and in the name of learning the game BEFORE you actually have to in order to progress, no more all-ins for a bit

Np, sounds like you're at a similar stage of learning as myself, so I'd be down to play some macro games at some point. I'm prettymuch a preacher who doesn't practice as it stands >.>

Hahaha. I just tried it out and well a couple of things were iffy that i could have done alot better. i didnt scout his air so he had a oracle out that raped my min line cause me to micro my probes while he did a attack on my natural. I think i need to maybe scout more. I just dont know how to handle those all ins

F2 isn't so bad as Protoss, since you'll usually just be balling up your army anyways, but you should be relying on other command groups primarily. F2 is the "OH FUCK HE'S ATTACKING AND I'M NOT READY" button.
