You don't need mechanics to win with Zerg

Nope all you need is a slightly active brainstem, forget the frontal lobe or the cerebral cortex, you just need something to make sure your heart beats and you keep breathing while you lay there vegetated with a catheter hitting szzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

You were fine up until ~19 minutes. You need more gateway units to buffer for your tech units--if you had had more flack and a few less voids/colossi you could have engaged into that hard, killed lots of swarm hosts, and won. Also for God's sake, put your voidrays on a different hotkey than your 1-a. You should honestly have 3 hotkeys for that army (4 when you add HTs)--one for colossi, one for voids, one for the whole army.

Same problem @21: you can't march through those locust because your colossi are taking damage. Put expendable zealots in front of those and you can 1-a through the enemy.

You lost because he never had to reinforce gas units. He was able to bank all his gas for 40 mutas instead of replacing swarm hosts. If you had crushed his swarm host army you could have trapsed through his base with ease. As it was, you let him get mass mutas against colossi/void with a spattering of HT--you aren't going to win against that without poenix or at the least a good number of blink stalkers + HT/archon.

swarm hosts can run away pretty easily. i didnt watch the game, but those odd looking things wiggle along pretty quick.

if i played zerg (which would never happen because it's disgusting) i would just run away with the hosts when i notice he might break out. back into the nydus or w/e and play 3 base.
