Personally I prefer Vanilla + Brood War - Short, Simple, Sweet, hilarious, so so classic and memorable. The only really memorable cutscenes from WoL is probably the one where Zeratul Fights Kerrigan in the Xel Naga Caverns and Kerrigan uses some sort of Jedi esque force push to stop him...so homo...where she get force push? dumb.

Blizzard is going Jedi on us man. The death of Tassadar turning him into a Ghost just like Obi Wan Kenobi. Kerrigan doing force Push just like the jedis...derpity derp derp.

It may have been because I played Starcraft 1 fairly late, but I really liked WoL alot.

i feel like they were also more authentic. Things that hadn't been done before. Stories that were actually fun, interesting, and engaging. I just find myself bored with the 'new' (hollywood) storyline. The cutscenes look amazing in the newer games, dont get me wrong i think they're fuckn crazy, i would love to see my favourite game in a movie, but they lack innovation, lack authenticity.

starcraft 1 original and brood war had the bast because they were gorey

But intro HotS cut scene is fucking epic. And intro to WoL was fucking awesome as well.
