So got a new computer about 3 weeks ago... All was working well. Just installed my drivers and programs; nothing seemed to be the problem,
until just recently. I came home one day and my monitor and all other usb devices were drawing power, but not connecting properly or working at that.

I checked a few things out... took a look inside and put it back together all nice and sound without a problem. Soon after the computer shutoff randomly
without a warning or error message. I turned it on right after noticing there was no power outage and it turned off 2 seconds after I had turned it on.
Now my first thoughts were the power supply being defective or a driver problem. It is now working fine, but over the last 2 days it has turned off 3 times;
each time it turns off, when I go to turn on the keyboard doesn't connect and has to be reconnected through the usb. Then when I log in the computer
says its installing my keyboard device. I would suspect the psu, but if it were defective it would have had problems sooner or later than 3 weeks and usb devices like
so wouldn't be affected.

Using windows 8... first time using so not sure if this is something to have happened with it. I was thinking of backing-up and formatting windows 8 again and reinstalling everything.
If problem persisted i would call the manu and just get it fixed under warranty. Would rather not though if its just something to do with the OS.

Would reinstalling be a good place to start of should I try something else? Let me know what other info you may need ti further help diagnosis this. Thanks

windows 8 first problem

second
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

yeah okay
you;re going to need to check the amount of power that each part is taking through the bios. then cross refrence it with the manufacturing specs to make sure each piece is running properally

Did you mess with the voltage in bios? The computer isn't getting enough power, maybe the PSU can't take it.

Edit: Now that I think about it my computer turned off on me too when I first got it. It is really scary when you turn it on and it instantly dies then reboots then dies.

k explain a bit how I do that? Im not so great with hardware.

Whats windows 8 have to do with it :S

psu = 480w

doubt my amd fx4100 and raedon 6670 require more than 400w
nothing is overclocked... it happend when playing sc2 once and when playing league

so im thinking i may be lacking in power

@seph
bios settings are still default

You're probably right, however with my electrical knowledge I can do more than just solve your computer issue.

TBH I think you're fine. Cuz when i was OC'ing and tinkering mine was rebooting to find a stable voltage then it was fine afterwards. If it does it consistently then I'd do something.
