WCG is no longer the premier tournament for foreigners and is known for having terrible organisation, so why would pros invest their time in it?

Nostalgia man, this was the tournament back in the day for CS, BW, W3, etc. Plus it has a lot of different countries actually in it.

WCG was really never about best players. It was more like e-sports Olympics. Having lots of different players from different countries participate.
