Yeah that's a fair point I think you are a bit low on your estimate, but not by a lot. The big time sink is the boss/mini bosses.

My question is, does that mean that quasi-exploiting group is gonna get steamrolled in PvE and not get into the better part of Gauntlgrym?

You don't have to kill any minibosses, there's maybe 10 trash pulls in the whole instance if you know the right exploits. You don't have to kill any bosses except the last, and that's really just between the third boss and the last boss, along with the first couple trash pulls.

I can assure you a competent group can do it in 15-20 minutes tops. If you don't believe me then you obviously don't know the exploit I am speaking of.
