No, they clearly stated on their forums that you will not lose your characters. However, I don't know when the "official launch" will be. They may just go straight into launch and not even take the game down.

The game will still be free to play when it launches?

Also, is the Cleric a good choice for a beginner? I want to play a class that supports groups well and can solo when necessary, and isn't TOO squishy.

I'm also wondering if there are some decent ways to make some quick cash in the early stages.

What stats would you recommend for a Devoted Cleric?
