I'm on Dragon, I overpaid slightly for it yes and now it doesn't even work. Submitted a ticket and in the drop down item list where you can choose the bugged item there's a blank space where the mount should be lol.

I didn't. I previously had a 50% mount and bought the Heavy Inferno Nightmare one, equipped it and it does nothing at all.

UPDATE: I hit level 26 and put a point into the primary ability I use and it changed my primary ability to my mount?
I moved my primary ability from the power sheet back onto LMB and tried to mount and it worked.
Perhaps skilling up your primary ability will fix the bug for this particular instance of it?

Thank you this worked for me. I removed my mount and put a point in the ability that the mount button was trying to cast and then equipped my mount and it worked
