Couldn't they just run them during dungeon delve and charge 1.5m or so? That sounds like a good deal for both sides unless I'm missing something.

You're missing the fact that the delves chest for castle never blows dick.

yeah the drops from the chest are horribad^^ but ofc one can take advantage of the fact that not all ppl know this.

We only like to run with 5 ppl because it shortens the run and we can
a) make fun of the guy if he´s bad
b) inv him over to ts to talk random stuffs if he´s good, to kill time, cause u can brainafk the dungeon till last boss.

So from out point, we will always profit because the random guy who will roll need on items ( regardless if he will win or not) at least paid us beforehand. Getting them to trust us isnt a problem either, it´s not like we are doing this the first time in games we played.

Ofc this isnt something to do if we want to max our profit, it would be 4 man this dungeon if our 5th is not available( which we do sometimes, it just get boring at some point). To take some gamble spice things up.

And no we are not @ 14k gs, most guys are @ 11k, our rogue @ 12k+ and me 10k, still doing it legit under 1 hour with our 5 man grp or 1 - 1,5 hour depends on the 5th random if we take one. gs is bull in this game anyway, the best runes for me actually decreases my gs instead of increasing it.

Gonna give ur suggestions a thought, so yeah for now thx, at least ur last post was ok :)

You are going to charge someone a static fee to have a chance to win an item from the last boss, not guarantee an item from the last boss.

While charging for carrying services, there should be no chance involved.

You pay, and you receive. That is how all paying for carrying works in EVERY SINGLE MMO. That is the only system that works.

If you are going to charge someone a fee, then you will need to charge them and give them the item that drops, regardles of what the drop is.

Even then, it is still a horrible idea.

Yep agree with this. When I still played WoW, back in Cataclysm we had reputable guilds selling slots for a carry through the end raids for either the heroic mounts or titles, maybe gear, and it was always guaranteed that you were going to get what you paid for. They would run it a second/third time whichever to make sure you got that mount/title/etc.

If you don't guarantee something to the person who just paid you for that service, then you're scamming and should be reported and banned from the game as such. If your intention is actually getting people that certain piece of gear, this obviously doesn't apply to you... but if your intention is to screw someone out of a potential gear upgrade just because it didn't drop on the *lottery* run they just paid for, well you deserve that report and ban.

in wow though you pay like 100k gold for beast loot and it doesnt matter if it takes 1week of raids or 8 weeks you get it no matter what

that being said if your group clears it in an hour id say you would make the most money selling the gear you find not bringing in a pug

This, since you can just queue with 4 and ask for lead and then keep kicking the person it slots in until you kill the first boss in which it won't put a fifth in anymore.

wow, there are always some clueless guys around the internet.

U might want to look up what scam means, u have no understanding of that word. If the guy know which exact conditions are involved, he knows what he paiys for and it´s a deal like any others, period. We do it our way, so that makes us scammers haha.

Want to talk about Wow? Never touched that again since classic, where our deal was " we carried u through mc and you have right to roll for items u need until you get your First item - then you lose all rights to roll". There were maybe 2-3 progress guilds on most servers who could clear mc, and ppl overbid each other to have a spot, they want to see mc bosses firsthand that bad. Our raid never had to farm for mats, and ppl got stuffs like epic mounts for free. So yeah, our methods were not succesful at all...

Thread can be close, we decided of a minimum price, but we will ask for offers first. If he make an offer higher than what we have in mind we naturally take that, if he undercut we tell him we wont do until he paid X.
we got our first client, after some negotition and inspecting our gear, he offer to pay us 300k. At the end he did get 1 item that run that was not even worth 50k, but he thanked us at the end for taking him along. Totally deserving a ban here.

It's a little sketchy to think that WoW hasn't changed since vanilla. It has.

I would also be pretty upset if I were the guy paying 300k a run and you only took me on one run. I would want to keep going until I got an item off the last boss to make up what I lost.

I hope that you would reinvite him until he gets an item to pay back what he paid you.

This would be a good time to make a demotivational pic involving the words "Reading comprehension, go get some."

I stopped listening to his WoW reference when he started talking about Molten Core. And you described exactly what I said in my post, maybe OP should learn some conventional wisdom from you (no sarcasm).
