Noted. Ok so my last few questions are:

Where do I get a mount? (not for real money)
What are all these currencies (bars, keys, zen, diamonds, etc) and what are they all for? Which ones should I even worry about?

Go to sergeant knox, accept all of the quests and do all of the ones in town. They will explain a fair bit.

AD is the main currency, you can pretty much ignore tarmalune bars.

Zen is cash shop.

Perfect, thanks. I plan to level another character (considering i have 5/6 used) and do EVERY quest in the game, simply to enjoy the leveling experience and learn some stuff. However. I wanted to nail SOME of the basics down first as I was tired for seeing trade chat and not understanding any of it

95% or more of trade chat is people attempting to scam people that don't know much about the game.

I recommend you ignore it all.

What would you say is the best race for Guardian? Humans seem nice (although they only get +2 stats instead of +4 overall) they do get 3% defense tho. I am halfling for +2 Const +2 Dex and 3% deflect (wtf is deflect anyhow? is it essentially 3% mitigation?)
