perfect world is fine, so what they use alot of cash shops, obviously they want money and its not like you cant get most of the items from over people or grinding them aswell

if it was true it wouldnt be a problem, however perfect world are known for their terrible cash shops which give huge advantages.

granted noone can speak for the neverwinter cash shop yet as we have no idea of how it will look like by release.

pretty much all their mmos require purchasing items in vast quantities to stay pvp able, unattainable in game. (also pve shortcuts, gated content, etc)

I would also like to point out that pay to win does not just mean: pay money for a "autowin" button.

but it also means: Paying to have a car in a foot race.

Being able to simply BUY consumables that non paying players could spend hours upon hours to accumulate is pay to win, you are circumventing the game itself to not have to play the game to be good at it.

Also in so many perfect world titles there is so much you cannot do without paying, often.

Defending a company in the excuse of they need to make money is a farce, and the fact they are "free" makes it even worse that select people are willing to drop hundreds upon thousands of $ on a whim to be uber. Allowing people to play, and be hindered as a lesser player, because nitwits are spending more money than the game itself is worth.

Free to plays are a plague, and my stance is firm on cash shops.

Being someone who actually has played the beta weekend at least, I should mention its economy infrastructure.

There's 3 forms of currency. Gold which is like ya know, fuckin game gold, you get it from killing shit and selling gerbage.

Then there's diamonds which you get from questing and certain dailies.

Then there's zen which is perfect worlds cash shop currency.

Neverwinter has a diamond to zens auction house. Which means you'll be able to acquire cash shop currency for your free diamonds.

So you'll be able to buy cash shop items without spending anything except some time. Which for people who end up playing a lot probably won't bat an eye at giving up some diamonds for zen.

I can't say i really know whats for sale yet as i didn't spend much of any time looking at the cash shop. And it wasn't as fleshed out as it could have been being the beta an all.

The only thing that worried me was their already selling a special race (Drow) as a their collectors edition bonus. Could be a sign of things to come with races and classes.

Though i did enjoy the game immensely, It has the combat of tera with the clean targeting of wow. It's a little like fable if it was an mmo.

It made sure i felt powerful as well as equipped with fluent mobility, while still feeling challenged in many mob pulls.

It will have user made dungeons and quests which with any luck will circumvent the trickle speed of company content that usually plagues f2ps.

It's worth a play, and if it flops i'd blame it on the irresponsibility of perfect worlds execution of their cash shop and support, not on the mechanics of the game.

But what perfect world will do is yet to be seen, They might just knock it out of the park on this one or it could end up being ruined at the last moment.

Really all i'm saying is, its fun as fuck. I play a lot of betas and usually have no fun knowing my progress will be wiped, so i play for a bit decide what i think and usually shelf it if i plan on coming back when it it launches.

But with neverwinter, i've never had so much fun with mmo core control/combat mechanics. It was genuinely a breath of fresh air in whats really become a clone/rehash market.

So, i'd say try it when it goes to open beta. Couldn't hurt.

WTF? Cash grabbing game company is not fine. (It's fine to try to make a profit but being over greedy is another thing)
And DnD is the best thing ever in the aspect of gaming (table / pc).

the only reason i stay away from this game is because its a "dungeon and dragons" title
