Skill does suck, but honestly if you have the materials for the hooks etc, salvaging is really not that bad at all.

Did they Nerf salvaging again??
Last time I was salvaging large wrecks I swear I was getting more than 14-15 xp each time a deck hand salvaged something on a large wreck.
This has got to be under 10k xp an hour at level 61!

I don’t think so no. I was getting about 30k exp/hr pre 61. I haven’t sailed in a while but from what I’ve seen it’s the same.

navigating on a boat feels like shit imo. sometimes im stuck too. I like hallowed sep, but barracuda trails will probably suck because of this.

Trials are a way to train you to learn sailing better. Id suggest giving it a try. It's good exp for the level too.
I agree though, feels janky initially.

The trials arent that bad, honestly. although i only ever went and got the times for rewards and never really stuck around for the faster exp. The AFKness of sailing really made the skill for me after really not liking it at all. the biggest thing for me is the upgrading your boat, its so slow and ass painful. legit youll spend a night just getting it set up lol
