use ur skill to run behind a stone so he can't see you, wait for it to recharge, get out cover, shoot him, when he get's close escape with skill, repeat.

I can't remember what gun it was that I used, some smg w/o element that shoots bullets in a cyclone way or smth. Not sure about this though :/

Ill try later today. But if i take him on like that, wouldnt it take forever with legit weps?

That's tactic what I used too, smg with x4 bullets with smg dmg and ammo regen mod and high rof/dmg/crit sniper for his back part, except I swapped +2 rare loot mod when it was almost dead to get better loot, also kill those adds until it spawns those big slow worms so you can run away easily from them, sometimes it took 5mins to kill and sometimes 20min.

And having different elemental weapons for killing those worms helps a lot too and if you do it offline, when you go to inventory game pauses, so you can easily use health items with that trick.
